The wrapped pieces push the boundaries of threads to challenge the materials and notions of traditional abstract painting. Threads are wrapped around tapestry looms to create expanses of colour and form, stretching them to create aesthetic fields far the familiar linear and domestic form. I purposefully source second hand tapestry frames and reinvent them as pure artforms, each has its own unknown backstory.
